Dried Blood Spot Testing
Dried Blood Spot (DBS) testing pairs the convenience of fingerstick collection with the accuracy of lab based analysis. A lancet is used to prick the fingertip and the drops of blood
are applied to the collection card. The sample is allowed to dry and shipped to the lab. This method provides a flexible solution to accommodate onsite group and at home screening scenarios. The sample
is stable of 28 days after the collection date and provides more testing options compared to point of care fingerstick testing. Many of our clients utilize this not only as an alternative to point of
care but in addition to onsite testing.
